About Morris Day & The Time

Known mainly as Prince’s rival in the film “Purple Rain,” Morris Day is a charismatic and successful R&B star in his own right. He began working with Prince in the early 1980s as a founding member of the late legend’s band The Time, who he continues to tour with today.

Day released his debut solo album, “Color of Success,” in 1985. He reached his commercial apex two years later with the release of “Daydreaming,” which included the chart-topping R&B hit “Fishnet.” In addition to “Purple Rain,” he has appeared in films including “New Attitude” and several TV shows.

Don’t miss your chance to groove along to his hits, including “Fishnet,” “Jungle Love” and “The Oak Tree.” Catch Morris Day & The Time at The Meadows.
